Star of the Sea promotes open and active communication between school and home. A weekly “envelope” is emailed to our families which includes a letter from the Principal and notification of upcoming events. A yearly calendar is provided, as well as updated monthly calendars. Student work packets are sent home on a regular basis to keep parents abreast of their child’s work, and report cards are sent home four times a year. In addition to regular scheduled parent/teacher conferences in November, the faculty is available for consultation whenever necessary.
Parent Participation
Parents are an integral part of our school. Star of the Sea is dependent upon the active participation and cooperation of all members of the school community. We ask that parents/guardians contribute 30 hours of service per family, per year. A wide range of volunteer services is available so that family participation may enrich our school community. You can record your volunteer hours via email.
