While the classroom day begins at 8 am and ends at 2:45pm, a great deal of learning occurs outside this time frame. At Star of the Sea, our committed faculty and parents have partnered to create many extra-curricular learning opportunities. Students can participate in a variety of enrichment activities including Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Spanish, and Russian language lessons, art, drama, guitar, choir, karate, science clubs and a mathematics enrichment program.

Extended Care
Our Extended Care program provides a place where children can enjoy supervised play and homework sessions after-school in a safe, nurturing environment.
Students are also given the opportunity to become a part of Star’s outstanding after-school athletics program.
Children in grades K-2 may participate in a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, and baseball through local community leagues.
Grades 3-8 compete in the parish CYO league and may participate in volleyball, basketball, track and field, and cross country.
Our CYO teams consistently rank at the top of their division and hold many championship titles. (See “Athletics” at this website). |
