At Star of the Sea, it is not uncommon to
see students from upper grades interacting with and mentoring younger students.
In fact, an atmosphere of support and community is a key aspect of the school's
character. We have many goals for our children, below are the goals we hope to
implement with each child while they are with us at Star of the

Communication
Star of the Sea promotes open and active
communication between school and home. A weekly envelope is sent home with a
letter from the Principal and notification of upcoming events. A yearly calendar
is provided, as well as updated monthly calendars. Student work packets are sent
home on a regular basis to keep parents abreast of their child's work, and
report cards are sent home four times a year. In addition to regular scheduled
parent/teacher conferences in November, the faculty is available for
consultation whenever necessary.
