Online Shopping/Local Merchants

There are many ways to contribute money to Star of the Sea simply by shopping at local  stores and websites you're already using.

eScrip is the "bread and butter" fundraiser of the Star of the Sea School Scrip program. All Star of the Sea School families are encouraged to enroll in the eScrip program. Many families will be able to meet their Scrip requirement through eScrip alone.

To use eScrip, you register various credit and debit cards and grocery store club cards with the program. You then use those registered cards to buy goods and services from participating eScrip local and online merchants. Although the percentage of your purchase that goes to the school varies from merchant to merchant, the average contribution for eScrip is approximately 3% of your total purchases.

Some of the local merchants participating in eScrip are A.G. Ferrari, Andronico's, Big 5 Sporting Goods,Cal-Mart,,Food4Less,,Macy's,,Mollie Stone’s, Safeway and Whole Foods.

Schoolpop is like eScrip in many ways. Like eScrip, Schoolpop tracks your purchases and gives a percentage of the money you spend to the school of your choice. Like eScrip, the percentage of the purchase price that goes to the school varies from merchant to merchant. Also like eScrip, Schoolpop allows you to view your contribution totals online through their website.

However, while eScrip is mostly used for purchases you make in stores, Schoolpop also allows you to contribute money to the school when you make purchases online or from a catalog.
